Pastry
3/4 cup unsalted butter, chilled
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
4-6 tablespoons ice water
1 egg yolk (for egg wash for pastry)
****Cooks note use premade pie crust and cut out with piroshki press
Meat Filling
1 large onion, chopped
1 tb garlic
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground sausage
salt and pepper
Fry up meat mixture. Place in cut out dough rounds, use piroshki press to cut and seal. Deep fry til golden brown
Serve with Russian salad , condiments sour cream and soy sauce
