Its that time of year. Usually I decorate and make a traditional dish, but this year I have been working 7 days a week and just haven't had the time or inclination to do it. There are many festivities going on, on the Island but the idea of dealing with traffic and crowds just does not appeal to me . My ideal vision of celebrating Carnival would be to attend an oppulent Masquerade Ball in Venice. I admire the beauty and art of the fabulous costumes. I also think a gondola ride in the moonlight would be ultra romantic.
